New
Moms Support Group
top
The New Moms Support Group is a great way for new mothers,
no matter how many children you already have, to meet. Monthly
events are planned with moms and infants (usually up to twelve
months of age) under the direction of the New
Moms Coordinator. The meetings act as an outlet for the parent rather than
a playgroup for the child.
Members can share their experiences and offer support to
each other during this transition into motherhood.
 |
The New Moms Support Group acts as
a catalyst for playgroups. As the children get older
(usually around one year), members with same age children
can spin off and form an official playgroup in conjunction
with the Playgroup Coordinator.
|
This
is a group constantly in transition, with new members coming
in and
those with older children moving on to form
playgroups. It provides a wonderful opportunity for new mothers
to have social interaction with other mothers. For more information
on the new Mom’s support group please contact our New
Moms Coordinator.

Mom's
Night
Out
top
Mom's Night
Out is an evening where the moms can get out with other
moms for
some relaxing
conversation and fun
without the distractions of the children. Not only do you
get a chance to try a new restaurant, see a new movie, or
do a new activity, but also you get to know your fellow moms
better and forge new friendships in a casual way.
A Mom's
Night Out can include anything members desire for a night
of fun and relaxation
without interruptions.
As much as we love our children, it is still nice to
get out
of the house once a month and share a little "moms-only" conversation!
The activity for the Mom’s Night Out could change
each month to meet all of the interests – and financial
abilities – of the moms. |
Book
Club
top
This group
is a great way for moms to get out and meet with each other
to discuss a topic other than kids, husbands,
and household. It is for mothers who share interests in discussing
books. The club meets once a month to discuss a book read
by the group in the preceding month. If you wish to join the book club please

to email the Book
Club Coordinator. |
Helping
Hands
top
The Helping
Hands program is a service available to assist any mom
who has experienced stressful life changes, such
as the arrival of a new baby, illness, or a move to a new
home, or who is undergoing other stressful circumstances
and could use a hand preparing meals and running small errands.
Help can be in the form of babysitting, transportation or
cooking.

Newsletter
top
The Club
publishes a newsletter "Homefront” ten
times a year. Subscription to the newsletter is included
in the membership dues. Each issue provides members with
information
on club news and activities for the month, as well as useful
information for mothers, ideas for fun with kids, recall
information, informative articles, local events and more.
Submissions to the newsletter
are encouraged. Any member who wants to contribute
an article, tip, recommendations,
etc. should contact the Newsletter
Coordinator.
Advertising is accepted providing it meets certain criteria.
Any member may place an ad to sell children’s toys
or equipment free of charge.
Members
may also place an ad for any business or service. The cost
to members is $5 for a business card size ad. Non-members
may also advertise in the newsletter. To find out more information
on advertising, contact the
Advertising
Coordinator.

New
Member Socials
top
The
purpose of this special event meeting is purely social
and informative.
We sometimes try to book
a speaker to
present a topic of interest to our members, usually a
parenting topic. Most times these socials are held at
a local club
house with a playground or a board member’s house
where members and their children can continue the discussion,
if there was a presentation, or just relax, chat and
get to know other members in a relaxed atmosphere. For more
information, please contact our New
Member Liaison.

Babysitting
Co-op
top
When was the last time you had a kid-free night with your spouse or significant other? Are you new to the Nashua area or don't have family near you? Would you like to run some morning or afternoon errands solo? Have you missed a mom's night out due the lack of a babysitter? Do you have an appointment coming up that you would like to attend without your kids? Would you like to spend one-on-one time with one of your children while the other is well cared for? Are you feeling trapped in your house due to the lack of knowing a good babysitter? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the GNMC Babysitting Co-op is for YOU!
Those days are over and it's time to get out! With the Babysitting Co-op, you can find another mom within the group who is able to watch your child. If you are home and willing to watch another member's child, you can give someone the chance to attend an event, a night out or run errands. We are a resource of members helping one another by providing FREE childcare! Once a month, we have a Babysitting Co-op get together where you can meet the members and the moms who run this group. It's a great way to network and get to know one another! And your children will be well cared for and enjoy visiting with a friend while you are out and about. It's a win-win for everyone!
For more information about the Babysitting Co-op, please click on one of the links below, or feel free to email our Babysitting Co-op Coordinators.

Working
Moms
Group
top
The Working Moms Group was formed to give working mothers
an opportunity for social interaction both for themselves
and for their children. The Club recognizes the fact that
the majority of working mothers would not be able to take
part in organized playgroups and activities during the day.
This group was created to fill that need.
Activities
for this group are planned by the Working Moms Coordinator.
Scheduled on weekends, mothers can attend open
playgroups, activities or outings with other working mothers
and their children. For more information please email our Working
Moms Coordinator.
